Just a quick not to say a big thank-you to you and all of your team you have been so lovely with us in such a testing time even when I was getting very stressed on the Thursday evening! I know you have all been extremely busy in this whole pandemic situation. None the less the circumstances had no bearing on our wedding for it was everything we dreamed of and more and that is testament to all your hard work up there everything ran like a well oiled machine and I would highly recommend anyone wanting the perfect wedding to head up Gretna Green also a special mention to the staff at the Dryfesdale Hotel in Lockerbie who too were amazing and extremely accommodating for our party.

Me and my partner eloped to Scotland to have a more low-key and intimate wedding with just us two. We chose Anvil Hall and I’m glad we did! A lovely location in a small, quiet area of Gretna. Loads of parking and some wonderful, picturesque areas where we had our wedding photos done. The service was stress free with very friendly and chatty witnesses. We were made to feel welcome immediately and had a good laugh with the Pastor and witnesses. A big hall with perfect music to walk down the aisle to! Followed by multiple poses and locations chosen by the photographer to ensure we got the best photos possible! I’m pregnant and our photographer made sure the bump was included in some of the photos as well which fully captures the start of our family! Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend :)

We got married here in august with just our two children and our dog, whilst on our travels to go and do the nc500! The communication with these guys was amazing, nothing was ever to much trouble and they offered plenty of reassurance with any worries I’d got and always so helpful on the phone. Honestly can’t thank them enough! They sorted absolutely everything out for me including hair, makeup, photography, even helped me with hotels/ motor home parks before the wedding, completely took the stress from me and nothing was ever to much trouble. The photographer was absolutely lovely, she was soo friendly and made us feel at ease on our day! It was perfect start to finish and I’m soo happy I chose this venue!

From start to finish these guys were super helpful and took the stress of organising our wedding away completely, we had our ceremony at Anvil Hall, (amazing place) and had a few extras on top of our package, like the Owl ring delivery, everything was perfect and ran like clockwork even though we only arrived the evening before our big day, we had about 60 guests and had the reception and evening function at the Gretna chase hotel, we had no time or opportunity to scout out the venues or meet the people involved before our actual wedding, like the registrar, the owl handler, the photographer (Alister Lynn) , the driver, the piper, the make up artist, the flower company, the Doves release guy, or any of the staff at Gretna chase hotel, (I am sure there are many others we have missed, ) but what i will say is weddings at Gretna are run like a well oiled machine, and the Gretna wedding Bureau is no exception, despite both of our nervousness leading up to our big day everything went so much better than we had hoped for, everyone involved knew exactly where to be and what to do and completely put us both at ease leaving us free to enjoy the day.
I cannot praise them highly enough.

You have an amazing team of people you work with, the driver, the florist, the lovely hair and makeup lady and the hotel and staff absolutely first class. Also not forgetting the photographer who was very good at putting us at ease.

We got married at this venue on 13.8.2010, and although we were small in company (just my wife and I joined by my parents), it was just a perfect day. Apart from all more touristic and public venues to marry at Gretna, the old Parish church gives you a more tranquil and remote spot. Although we had to first plan the ceremony via a telephone call from our home in Germany, Reverend Haston was just well prepared and gave us the chance for a final discussion on the day before. We learned that there is no tradition in the Church of Scotland for a wedding verse chosen by the couple, but thanks to Reverend Haston he just involved it in his sermon. He really is very empathic and really gives you good alternatives on parts of the ceremony. He even copied the long version of the vows on the evening before the wedding, so we were able to say them word by word not understanding every word of an Scottish accent. And we will not forget him knocking at the wall of the registry after the signature procedure giving a sign to the organ player to come to his last musical crescendo.

We got married at this castle on 8th august 2009 it was brillilent day we had been a few times befor booking our wedding to see it and it allways had a good feel to it . And been back a few times after our wedding .it really was a good place to get marred .and to make our day the sun was shining
